time shift info;; [/size]
ok, now I know that some, of not most/all, of you are wondering what this time shift thing is. Well keep on reading and you will find out…
Basically this is the way that time is going to go throughout the game here on Thanks for the Memories. A shift in game is set for a specific time and day in the game for the characters to interact. This time and date will be decided upon by the Admins and you will be notified of the time change and to what time it has changed to. Each shift in game is set to last for fourteen days in real life; so you will have fourteen days to type through your thread. If you do not finish, that is fine. All you have to do is discuss with the person or people that you were posting with what happened.
in game for each shift, you can only post in one thread at a time. if you wish to go into another thread from the one you are in, you must post an exit and entrance post for each thread so that anyone already in any of those threads knows your character has left or entered. We are doing it this way instead of just a free for all posting fest so that you don’t get swamped with thousands of replies (unless you have multiple characters) and so that you cannot not have your character be in more than one place at the same time as well as keeping up with what has or hasn’t happened already. it is hard to post in one shift that takes place say on a Tuesday but then are also posting in a different thread that is taking place on the Friday… how will you know for the Friday thread what happened on Tuesday if that thread is not finished?
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to nudge a member of the staff or just post here.
